Play American Mahjong,
the social way.

Nobody has to already know how to play. They just have to pull up a chair.

Whether it’s four friends at a kitchen table or a room full of colleagues who’ve never spent time together outside of a Zoom call, the mahjong sets the tone and creates the space for connection.

WHAT WE DO

Mahjong is really about the people.

Rainey Day Mahj hosts American Mahjong in a way that’s focused on connection and fun - around a table, at your own pace, enjoying the moment. No tournament pressure, no fear of a misstep, no feeling like you’re the only one who doesn’t get it.

We come to you. Whether it’s a handful of friends learning together, a girls’ night, a PTA gathering, a corporate connector, or a fundraiser for a cause you love, we bring the tiles, the mats, and the kind of afternoon people remember.

WHO’S BEHIND THE TABLE

Hi, I’m Kathryn.

I fell in love with American mahjong the way most people do — around a table, with friends, on ordinary evenings that turned into something I look forward to all week.

Rainey Day Mahj grew out of that weekly mahjong game — the time spent connecting with old friends and making new ones, challenging our brains a little while filling our cups. Rainey Day Mahj was founded because I want more people to have the table I have — the standing invitation, the easy laughter, the people who keep coming back. Whether you’re brand new to the game or bringing an experienced group, I’d love to be part of supporting your community.

Come to the table.

Lessons, open tables, and a little mahjong joy in your inbox. No pressure — just an invitation.

Connection through the game.
