American Mahjong is the new golf.
Enough strategy to keep people engaged, and a table small enough for real conversation.A different kind of
corporate connector.
A few hours around a mahjong table builds relationships in a way a conference room never does. The game gives people something to do with their hands and their heads, the table keeps the group small enough to actually talk, and nobody has to be good at it to belong there. Every format below runs at two speeds: learn the game from scratch, or play a live game from the first tile. We’ll find the right one when we talk.
Built around your event.
Team Building
Real teambuilding means learning something together. Our teambuilding events teach American Mahjong from scratch: the tiles, the card, and a real game, with your people figuring it out side-by-side. Nobody arrives an expert, which is exactly the point. Through a combination of traditional teaching and mahjong-themed teambuilding challenges, we bring both the game and the spirit of teamwork to life. By the end, your team has done something genuinely new together, and it shows.
Just want to give your team a couple of hours around a table, unplugged from email and connecting face-to-face? If your team already plays, or you simply want an afternoon of camaraderie, we host play days, too.
Networking
Golf takes five hours and a bag full of equipment. Mahjong takes an afternoon and a chair. We set the tables and host the room for client events, mixers, and industry groups, so the conversation happens over something more interesting than name tags. Expecting a crowd that’s new to the tiles? Add a learn-from-scratch hour up front, and nobody sits out.
Recurring
Some of the best programs aren’t events at all. A monthly or quarterly mahjong program starts with teaching and grows into hosted play at your office: a recurring calendar event your people actually look forward to. Companies use it as an open invitation to connect across teams. Property managers use it as tenant programming that fills the amenity space with something people talk about.
Want the event to do more than connect your people? Ask about adding a give-back for a cause your company supports. See our Mahj for Good page for more ways we can support your favorite cause.
